Rosie and the Crocodile Hunter

I never stop being amazed at the personalities in my family! Rosie is one such personality:) She is much like Bella in her uniqueness. Although food is not her "thing", but animals are! She watches animal planet as often as I will let her, or as much as she can sneak! Last week she ran to me and said "Mom did you know Steve's dog died?" I was doing my mental "Steve? Steve? Steve? (giving up) Who is Steve Rosie?" She rolls hers eyes and immediately says, "Steve the Crocodile Hunter! His dog died, well actually it died yesterday but I didn't find out until today!" LOL I imagine she is watching a rerun and the poor dog died long long ago....but Rosie loves this silly show. She knows everyone's name and all about the animals they work with. She is the funniest "animal kid" I know!! She asked me not too long ago if we were going to get another baby? NO I told her we were not. Don't you like babies momma? I explained that I loved babies but we were not going to get anymore. She thought a minute and said, "Weelll, how do you feel about fancy rats?" lol....gotta love her thought process! She did ask me yesterday if you could have pets in the dorms at college? I am afraid she will not go to college if she ever finds out she cannot!! :)

Kids are all so different. You know there has to be a God...who else could have created all these combinations!!!

Chelsea and littles

Chelsea was home for Thanksgiving break and the little kids sure did enjoy having her here! This was after church on Sunday. Chelsea and the "little people".

Shannan's sweeties

My good friend Shannan has really been having a hard time! Her husband was lifeflighted Friday morning after Thanksgiving. He had surgery and is now recoperating as well as can be expected. But Shannan has been so torn being away from her children. I have the three oldest and another friend has the two youngest. Her new children have only been "home" with her since August and she so badly wants to be home with them! Keep her and her husband, David, in your prayers! I took this picture of her trio of girls Sunday after church.

Chef Bella

My Isabella is one of the quirkiest people I know. She will not sit through a movie....television is not a favorite at all~~ actually she feels it is punishment to have her sit in front of the TV.....usless it is the food network!! Then she will sit for hours! She writes down recipes and is forever telling me how "Rachel Ray" does things...lol. Tonight I was mixing a recipe (the dry ingredients) of chicken....she hopped on the barstool and said that looks like it has garlic in it...ROFL.....it did and I looked at it wondering ...did she guess? smell?? or can she actually see? She is EIGHT(barely). I have great great hopes for her being my "cook" someday:)

My nephew Skyler

This is a neat picture of the youngest person who clebrated Thanksgiving with us:) My nephew Skyler (isn't he sweet?). He stood at the door watching the big boys play football outside:) Someday he will be there!

More Thanksgiving

These pictures are of Scott's parents. They came on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and stayed until Sunday visiting and helping!! We had about 50 people at the house on Saturday for "Thanksgiving". Bill and Nancy both worked and were such great help! Not to mention I just love having them around:)

Today is Seth's 4th birthday. A first for our family....a "breakfast birthday party"! Seth was funny all day yesterday....he kept asking where I was going to put his presents?? In the guest room?? In the big girls hall?? he went on and on naming all the places i DO put the gifts...lol. He is home with me most all the time and helps me shop for everyone elses birhtday! So I did not shop for him until last night. Sarah and I came in from the store to find him crying (still awake) wanting to just see the presents. Finally getting him to sleep I decided that he would NOT make it all day without knowing (and I would not make it with the crying..lol). So breakfast was birhtday cake(not a terribly well-rounded breakfast food...but very loved by all!). Seth has been riding his "motorcycle" all morning and we now are putting the train together:) Life at 4 is wonderful!! (life at 39 is pretty wonderful too!!)

Football and Cade

My sweet nephew Cade was here a couple of weeks ago and found one of the boys football helmets! What a cutie! He does look like a football player....but I image basketball will be in his future....not football:)

Isabella and Michael's birthday!

Monday was Isabella and Michael's 8th birthday. They each took cookies to class today to share with everyone. We had a party and they were so tickled I bet they had made 499 lists of what they want for thier birthday....lol!

Veterans Day

Michael's second grade class had a Veterans Day party in honor of the Veterans in the childrens families. Scott's father came to be with Michael. It was a great day! Michael was so proud to be one of the few with a family member there!! Michael has a wonderful teacher who spends lots of time working to find interesting ways to teach her class!

Homecoming was a big weekend for us this year. Chelsea(a Freshman at FHU) was one of the two girl Freshman representatives. She looked Beautiful! It was a wonderful memory making day:)

This is my new generation of BIG girls.....Sarah (16) is the last of my "original big girls"....Mercedez(10), Rosie (9) and Tasha (9) are growing just too fast for mom and of course not fast enough for them!

FHU 5K

Three of my guys ran in the FHU Homecoming 5K. They did great:) This was John's frist ever 5K. Scott told him if he got tired to stop and walk, that he knew John had not ran that far before. John said "yes I have, I have run all the way to Will nad Cliffs!" lol It is NOT 3.1 miles to Will and Cliffs! He did really well for a first go....ran in about 30 minutes!
