Spectators

For as many ballplayers as we always have, we have more spectators! Thus a new season begins and new spectators (since everyone plays something, the spectators do change from sport to sport). These were taken tonight:) Sethie and his airhead blue mouth! Baby Amanda(my friend Elizabeths sweetie) was perhaps the happiest spectator...lol. And Jacob, Scott, Tori and Mercedez!

Friday night ball!

Well, Carlton has begun his season and my three muskateers begin this Monday night! Tonight they practiced with another team, they are really ready:) We climbed up and pulled down all the lawn chairs, a sure sign we will be watching plenty of ball. Micheal is my lefty batter, I will actually have to walk to the other side of the field to get good pics of him...lol

The Gym

Tonight Trish, Caleb and I went to "the gym". It was nice...lol....that is if I can walk tomorrow! Caleb ran and ran and ran and lifted weights! I was impressed. I followed Trish watching her "gym expertise" and then rode 3 miles on the bike and walked .30 mile...lol...it was really fun. NOTE: There will likely not be pictures of this subject:)

Accidents

As we were leaving for the movie with Sarah last night, Mercedez came running with Seth, who was bleeding. We went back in the house to patch him up and deal with Ryan (the rock thrower). As we cleaned Seth up and taped his head Ryan stood by repeatedily saying"I didn't do it, I didn't do it". I finally turned and said, "Ryan, accidents happen, admit it when you do wrong, say "I'm so sorry it was an accident", do not stand here and lie!" As I turned back to Seth he looked at me and with a slight bit of frustration said, "Mom, it was NOT an accident that hit me, it was a ROCK!" lol...true:)

Sandy, Cade and Chance

I love these pictures! Sandy and I were trying to take pictures of the boys....but Cade said "no". LOL...imagine that! He's two, what can you say? Well, actually a lot...he is becoming his own person (a very nice tribute to his parenting!) and is becoming a little (his mom thinks a lot) strong willed. As mom to a bunch of strong willed kids, I can say it is a good thing (if you survive). Now Sandy will not have to worry about others influencing him to do wrong! He will make his choice all by himself! Even at two you can see the character little people have.

I must say that Sandy's face is priceless in the smirky picture! How many times do moms of smart kids do this?? It is hard for me (Aunt Amanda) not to laugh at the little guys spunk! lol

Sarah's Movie Premier!

Tonight was the World Premier of "Binding Love" a neat movie Sarah was able to be part of (a small part, but what fun!). Scott and I went with Sarah and her friend Patrick.

Sarah was a gossipy girl in the bathroom at school....lol...I am so proud! Truly, she was great!! Sarah has a wonderful "poker face" and loves to act.....I thought she was wonderful...ofcourse!

Thinking

We will be in the final month of school in a couple of days! I am always amazed at how fast the year goes by. My mother always told me that "time flies", and as a young (lol...very young) adult I just did not see it. But, as a mother the years have flown by! To watch my children, wow! I cannot believe Chelsea will be finishing her first year of college, and that Seth is FOUR. No babies at my house....where did time go? It went by in quick minutes, and days that were too short.. those short days turned into even shorter months, and then years...lol...how else would I have arrived at 40(July 6) SO QUICK! I do miss the moments when my children were small, but I am amazed every single day at the people they have become!

Yesterday we were shopping in Ann Taylor with Chelsea. Joseph and John and Seth were with Chels and I. After a while Seth needed to go to the bathroom, the boys offered to take him. A saleslady who was watching, commented as the boys walked away saying, "Those are the most respectful, well-mannered boys I have ever seen! You are to be commended on thier parenting." I was shocked...lol....yes they were being good, I expect it, we are shopping and we do not act crazy, not 13 and 15 year olds. But I did think, I DO HAVE GREAT KIDS! I can take them just about anywhere, even Ann Taylors, and they do me proud....but even greater....they do THEMSELVES proud!

Nashville

Yesterday Joseph and John had an appointment with the Dermatologist at Vanderbilt. We (along with Seth) met Chelsea for lunch at the San Antonio Taco Co. Chelsea took Seth back to Lipscomb (or as Seth would say Lip college or Lipstick...lol) to play with her while we had our appointment.

We had a nice time shopping in Green Hills after the appt. and then we all met Grannie and Pa to eat at Chillis before heading home!! It was a good day!

Dad came to the house to pick-up Sarah to go the the funeral home when I took this picture. Sarah's friend and distant cousin's grandfather died and Dad went with Sarah to visitation. Dad had his eyes dialated and could not go without the sunglasses.....Sarah was prefectly fine with that, she thinks he looks like a Secret Service Agent...lol

Seth's frist T-Ball practice

Today was Seth's long awaited very first ever T-Ball practice! He was so excited! He is not the biggest kid on the team, nor the oldest, in the middle:) He was getting ready to bat and Scott was trying to help him line up when Seth told him he could do it himself...lol...and he hit the ball into the outfield:) Scott said Seth did fine on his own. He does throw to hard....he, the youngest of 12 boys, WOULD throw hard, while he is pretty accurate Scott did not think any of the kids would be able to actually catch the ball or have good enough reflexes to stay out of the way. A good problem to have I suppose....of course I am coming from the end parents who have t- ball players who almost always prefer to dig in the dirt...lol

At lunch Seth came up to Scott said, "Give me 5 Dad" and Scott did to which Seth replied,"Thanks for taking me to baseball Dad!" Neat kid! lol..He sure does know how to work these old parents...rofl!

Scott and the little ones went to the farm for Easter with my Dad. My sisters (Jennifer and Sandy) were there with thier kids too. My bunch always have fun at the farm:) Eggs were plentiful and Victoria found the "golden egg". She was so very excited!

My Sarah

My Sarah is a neat girl! She is my hero in many ways. She is an excellent student:) She is crazy smart! She can memorize entire poems....ie...Anabelle Lee...in a matter of minutes...that is pretty incredible to me, even if I am her mother. She is forever talling me she cannot sing...lol....but she can sing blues with the very best of them! But the most important thing....she is a Christian! She is a good girl! (except when she's not..lol) I took this picture last weekend and it caught her as I wanted her (which translates to...no crossed eyes,tongue sticking out or silly faces.)

Seth's test question

I had parent teacher at the pre-school this past week. Seth had taken some readiness tests and I talked about the results with Ms. Pat. It is the same DIAL test that all my kiddos have taken....I often think that if I was a "cheater" I would tell my kids all the right answers...lol...they have not changed any in the past 15 years. But it would likely defeate the whole purpose of testing (duh!). There are always three questions that require problems solving skills.

#1. What do you do if you are thirsty?

Seth's answer: drink water *full credit ...he solved it

#2. What do you do if the light is not on in the room?

Seth's answer: Go get mom to turn it on. *partial credit

#3. What do you do if you break something?

Seth's answer: I didn't do it!. *NO credit, denial..lol

rofl! He sure does live at my house! Right along with "no me", "somebody else", "I don't know" and "Samuel"(who is everyone's scape goat! bless his heart...he is usually involved, but only about 40% of the time at fault!)

LTC

Part of my family was with me in Mobile Alabama Good Friday through Easter Sunday for LTC(Leadership Training conference). It was a great weekend my the kids and they did a great job. These are some pics from the weekend.

Love and Learn

Seth is my last child at Love and Learn Preschool:) We have had a child at Love and Learn since the beginning of time (15 years ago..lol). Chelsea began and it has been a wonderful two day pre-school(although they do have full-time and other opportunities)for our family. The teachers could be no better anywhere on earth! There were taken last week. Seth and his best friend "Hayden"! Everyone here hears Hayden stories all day long! Hayden is not smiling, but he has the sweetest dimples you've ever seen. The other two are of Seth.
